Our historic cuvée, which has been produced since the winery was founded, is a very complex wine thanks to the composition of the three most traditional Terlan white wine varieties: Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Pinot Blanc, which makes up the majority, provides freshness and a good acidity structure, Chardonnay flatters with softness and warmth, while Sauvignon complements the cuvée with its fine aromas. On the nose, green apple and white peach characterize the classic Terlan, which also has a fine nuance of lemon balm and mint. The peach aroma is also very strong on the palate and brings the Terlan to life. It reveals notes of blackberry, bright cassis, small nots of small black berries associated with touches of strawberry, bigarreau cherry as well as hints of liquorice, caramelization, fine hints of tonka bean, discreet hints of rosemary, fresh local garrigue, black olive and discreet hints of toasted. The palate is elegant, delicate, fruity, beautifully build and offers power (in control), deepness, an aromatic purity, an acidulous frame and a small tension. Bruciato was born in 2002, from one of the most difficult harvests of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, to tell and make known the unique terroir of Bolgheri in a modern style. The carefully selected grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah come from vineyards with very different geological soils, which give great complexity. The Bruciato presents itself in the usual intense ruby red color. On the nose, notes of ripe red berries predominate, accompanied by pleasant hints of sweet spices and light nuances of mint and tobacco aromas.
